Episode 326: Cannabis Saved Her From Grand Mal Seizures, Breast Cancer and Opioid Addiction

When she was 12 years old, Kim Cooper of Ontario, Canada suffered her first Grand Mal seizure and was put on medication. When she started smoking cannabis as a teenager her seizures went away until she stopped smoking just prior to her first baby being born and suffered a seizure during delivery. She experienced breast cancer twice but her darkest moments came following a traffic accident in which she suffered serious, painful injuries including a broken back. She went on opioids to relieve the pain and got up to 16 pills a day. It was a number of years later that cannabis gave her relief and her life back. An amazing story!

While he was at work, Ron McNabb of Ontario, Canada, fell 20 feet off a ladder, severely injuring himself. Over a number of years he was on pharmaceutical drugs to relieve his pain, taking up to 23 pills a day. But the drugs came with serious side effects—including thoughts of suicide—which he admits he was only seconds away from committing. However, when he started using cannabis those suicidal thoughts began to disappear and he got his life back.

When she was diagnosed with uterine cancer in March of this year, our guest says she intuitively knew that she would “walk through it” and heal herself, which is exactly what she did.
