After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in October of 2021, Nicola Steers of the UK refused conventional treatment and decided to clean up her diet and use cannabis oil to deal with her MS. When she went for a scan in November of last year, no new lesions had formed and the prominent lesion on her brain had been drastically reduced.
It took several years before doctors diagnosed her with multiple sclerosis and then the pharmaceutical drug she was prescribed caused her liver to fail four years later. But Tamara Netzel of Virginia underwent a stem cell transplant in Mexico and started using cannabis to help her with her health issues. She is now a strong proponent and spokesperson for cannabis in her state.
He spent 8 years in a wheelchair after being officially diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1998. Kevin Leeper of Ohio was on multiple medications for his MS and his weight ballooned to 300 pounds. But in 2014 he started smoking cannabis and a year later he quit all of his MS medications. MRI scans showed his lesions decreased in size, and he was able to put his wheelchair in storage and he lost about 160 pounds. While still using a walker, he says his MS symptoms are now mild.
We spoke with Chris Reilly two years ago in Episode 139 about how he was managing the excruciating constant pain of Multiple Sclerosis with cannabis. Once an active cyclist, he is now wheelchair bound, but medicating with cannabis (along with having a supportive wife) keeps him going.
